- Update hint in license emails: The purchase notice and expired license info email now additionally indicate if a newer program version is already available.
Improvements
- Dependencies updated: Latest versions of important libraries for improved security and stability.
Technical changes
- License check extended: When a trial license has little time remaining, a one-time purchase notice email is now also triggered.
Important notes
- Restart the service: After the update, restart the Event Mail Notification service once.
- Trial licenses only: The new purchase notice is only sent for trial licenses and does not affect full licenses.

This update extends license validation with a regular check during operation, increases the trial license duration to 7 days, and now allows its use on Windows Server and in domain environments. Important dependencies have also been updated.
New features
- Regular license check during operation: The license is no longer validated only at service start, but now also once daily during ongoing operation. License renewals or expirations are detected noticeably faster, without requiring a service restart.
- Trial license extended to server and domain: The trial license can now also be used on Windows Server and in domain environments. It remains limited to a single device.
Improvements
- Trial license duration extended: The trial license usage period has been increased from 3 to 7 days.
- New trial license serial numbers: Trial licenses will now be issued with a new serial number prefix reflecting the extended 7-day duration. Already activated trial licenses are not affected.
- Dependencies updated: Latest versions of important libraries for improved security and stability.
Technical changes
- Main timer extended: The existing processing timer now also triggers the license check once daily.
- Expiration handling unified: If an expired license is detected during operation, an email notification is sent first, just as at service start, before the service is shut down gracefully.
Important notes
- Restart the service: After the update, restart the Event Mail Notification service once.
- Temporary connectivity issues: If the license server is temporarily unreachable during the daily check, operation continues and the check is automatically retried the following day.

This update enhances the security of the network configuration, renews the quick guides, and updates important components for improved stability and security.
New features
- Encrypted passwords for proxy: Credentials for proxy and SOCKS connections can now be stored encrypted – no longer only for email delivery. Encryption can be enabled separately for each area.
- Revised quick guides: The quick guides (German and English) have been completely recreated, given a clearer layout, and extended with the password encryption. They are shipped as PDF with the installation.
Improvements
- More security: Sensitive passwords no longer need to be stored in plain text in the configuration.
- Updated components: Important libraries have been brought up to date – among others for email delivery and encryption.
- Extended documentation: Manual and quick guides describe the new encryption options step by step.
Technical changes
- Configuration extended: The passwordencryption element is now also available in the proxy and socks sections and can be set there separately to true or false.
- Dependencies updated: Security and stability updates of the components in use.
Important notes
- Existing configuration remains valid: Existing configuration files continue to work unchanged. If passwordencryption is not set, the password is used as plain text as before – an adjustment is only required if you want to enable encryption.
- Restart the service: After the update, restart the Event Mail Notification service once.
- Encrypt passwords: The bundled SMTP Password Encryption tool is available to generate encrypted values (see manual and quick guide).
