Activation of Event Mail Notification
After installation, Event Mail Notification must be activated to unlock full functionality. Activation ensures your license is valid and enables updates and support.
Requirements for Activation
- Valid serial number from your license purchase
- Internet connection for online validation
- Administrator privileges on the target system
Activation via Configuration File
Activation is managed through the EventMailNotification.config file. Enter your serial number in the <activation> section:

Save the file—the service checks the license on startup and activates automatically.
Online Validation
Once saved, the service connects to the license server, verifies the serial number, and confirms activation. Successful validation is logged in the Windows Event Log.
Troubleshooting
- Invalid Serial: Verify the entry and ensure the license was purchased correctly.
- Connection Issues: Check proxy or firewall settings.
- Expired License: Renewal is available anytime via the customer portal.
Best Practices
- Keep your serial number secure.
- Activate immediately after installation.
- Hardware changes may require reactivation.
Note: Trial versions activate automatically but are time-limited.
